Question about thirsties duo wrap and prefolds

Hello,

I have been building my stash for my little one who is coming in December. I got a lot of thirstries duo wraps in a size 1 and a few in a size 2. I want to get some of the thirsties brand hemp prefolds but I had a question for anyone who may use these. The prefolds come in a size 1 and 2 like the covers. My sister suggested getting mostly size 2 prefolds and then just folding them down to make them fit in the smaller cover instead of purchasing a bunch of size 1 that she will outgrow. What do you guys think? I have never cloth diapered before and I have a lot of pockets but I also want to try the prefold route as well. Thanks!

Another vote for the size ones.

Even after your LO outgrows the size 1 prefolds for fastening them, you can still use them tri folded or to stuff pockets for quite sometime. So you will get a lot of use out of them.

I vote size 1 as well. Maybe get a few now and more after he's born and you get a chance to see how they fit?
